JULY DCM ~ July, 2014 (?)

We're in a drought. Sorry California, but we still had a water balloon fight at the July DCM. This started off as a typical Division Council Meeting with all the announcements and news, but Joseph later revealed that just around the corner lay two full tubs of water balloons. This is just one of the ways Key Clubbers from different schools bond together at DCMs! Water wars and teaming up against Joseph. Just kidding. But it was still a ton of fun!

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ~ July 2-5, 2014

Thousands of Key Clubbers from all over the world gathered at Anaheim for a weekend of Key Club fun! This event is very different than most because it exposed many Key Clubbers to the higher ranks of the organization that many did not know about before. House of Delegates voted on five proposed amendments through Parliamentary Procedure, and all key clubbers listened to the speeches of and voted for International President, International Vice President, and International Trustees. There were also plenty of helpful workshops highlighting different organizations and different ways to improve clubs. Also, during the closing session's award ceremony, the CNH District brought home by far the most awards out of any district!

APRIL DCM ~ April 19, 2014 (11:30am-1:30pm)

Our new LTG Joseph Ko held his very first Division Council Meeting of the new term! It was exciting to see him standing up there for the first time, and you could tell that Paolo was proud. Also, Joseph announced the new Division Leadership Team, and that included our club's Sally Deng as the Division News Editor, so she will be creating a newsletter every month to distribute to the Division.

GIVE BACK GAME ~ March 29, 2014 (2:00pm-9:00pm)

At the Thousand Oaks High School Gym on a Saturday afternoon, over ten teams played a game of basketball to support Manna! Our very own Key Club had members who played in the game, middle schoolers played, high schoolers played, the Wells Fargo bosses played against the Wells Fargo employees, and even the Fire Department played against the Polic Department! A long fun-filled day proved worth all the effort as we raised over $4,000 towards Manna Food Bank!
